Friends of St Joseph's are a group of parents and staff who meet every few weeks, at St Joseph's, to discuss ways to raise money for school.
The meetings are relaxed, refreshments are provided and the more people we have attending and sharing their fundraising ideas, the better! Our aim is to fundraise to provide equipment to support our school's ethos.
The next Friends meeting will be at 2.45pm on Thursday 21st September. Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you then.
So far this year there have been several fundraising events already. Read on to find out more about these events.
The Autumn Fair was held in October and was very well supported. £739.50 was raised and used to purchase more computing equipment to improve the children's learning.
For the first time we designed our own Christmas cards, wrapping paper and labels and had them made for us. The results were stunning and were well received by all. In total £150 was raised!
Our Secrets Room runs for 3 days in December and allows children to purchase presents for £2.50 each. Children enjoy choosing surprise gifts for their relatives and two of our parents kindly helped wrap the gifts and advise the children.
The annual Christmas Disco was held on 17th December and even Santa paid a visit! He kindly met each child and gave them a gift! There was some fantastic dancing and good festive fun was enjoyed by children, parents and staff alike!
